These Days
These Days: A Very Random Look Into This Past Month
- Nothing really gets done around the house, because I rather play with my daughter and enjoy every moment that I can with her!
- So nervous about her 1st birthday party (I'm not one for entertaining) and this planning process is "killing" me...
- Excited about her opening Christmas presents, even though at my family Christmas she was not interested in anything, even the paper...but it's the whole process that excites me, teaching her the fun of the holiday season...
- Wishing it was warm out so we didn't feel so claustrophobic and when it's warm it makes working out so much easier
- Holiday weight is killing me....ok not the weight so much, but all the tempting food that is making me put on the weight :)
- My daughter says everything is "hot" and blows air out to cool whatever is "hot"
- She is turning into such a ham! I loved her before, but so much more now that her personality is really shining through!
- I have had a headache for almost 3 weeks (blaming it on the ungodly amount of chocolate that is available to eat)
- Avrianna can now squat and stand back up but to me it looks like she is folding in half (I wish I was that flexible)
- She is starting to be more clear in what she wants..pointing or if I'm holding her, she'll lean in one direction to get me to go where she wants
- I am not starting to give her options...today I held up her sippy and bottle and asked her which one she wanted and she went right for the sippy (makes me sad because the baby stage is just about over!)
- She always wants her goldfish crackers and will keep saying "fsh" and walk towards the cupboard of where I keep them

whoa...where has time gone?!
I am so horrible at this blog thing...is it even worth keeping??
I told myself I would blog about Avrianna's childhood...so here is what's been happening in the last month!
She is/has been walking since 9.5 months old.
She gives kisses...when her mood fits
Waves hi and bye
Says "whoa", "uh-oh" and "what's that"
Learned to squat to pick up toys and then stand herself right back up without holding onto anything
Finally got her to crawl down the stairs backwards and not face first haha
She is in her big girl car seat and LOVES it
She's trying to run...in fact, she practically never just walks...always a little trot going...lucky momma
I can't believe that in less than a month and a half, my baby girl will be considered a toddler! Less than a month will be her first Christmas and I am SO SO SO excited to see her open gifts. We aren't doing a real tree this year because we want to see how she acts around the fake one. She is a climber so I am PRAYING that she listens to me when I say NO. Wishful thinking....I know!

Baby Food Diet
Yes...dieting is what is on my mind. I tell myself this because I am convinced that I will get my pre-baby body back. Funny? sure. Realistic? no. Before I had Avrianna, I signed up for Parenting Magazine and Baby Talk Magazine. In BOTH magazines were articles about a new fad called the "Baby Food Diet". Sound disgusting? yah that's what I thought.
By the end of the article, BOTH people referred back to, "why would you not feed your child a certain food, but yet you still eat it?" Your child's body is made up the same way as yours. Yet you think your child's body is a temple and pure. So why would you eat McDonalds, candy, chips etc???
Instead of eating what she eats (baby food) cut out all of the "bad" items from your daily food intake and start treating YOUR body like a temple.
Thoughts???

I wish to be on HGTV
I need some help...serious help! I am not the decorative type...let alone creative! I am in the process of stripping wallpaper and thinking about colors to paint the walls. We have a ton of pictures we want to hang up but can't because it's taken us almost 6 months to work on this wallpaper. We live in a house that will be 100yrs old in 2012 and I swear the wallpaper is from the 1940's.
Anyone want to come be my interior decorator!?!?!
Side note...Avrianna is practically walking. I mean practically by when she feels like it. All the other times she will either just crawl or grab my hands and make me walk with her. Sometimes I really really...REALLY get frustrated and just let her throw a fit because I don't want to be bent over for 20 minutes while she explores the house. Is that bad???

Busy Momma
A few months ago, well actually 6 months ago, I decided to start a blog. I have failed miserably! I wrote a post about my daughter when she was 3 months old and she is now 9.5 months old! It's so crazy how fast time is going!
I started planning her 1st birthday! I'm so excited to let my creative side out. Her theme is going to be cupcakes, and I have researched some pretty awesome stuff online. The colors are going to be brown, pink, green, and purple (at least that is what I'm thinking at this moment). I bought some pink plates with cupcakes on them at Target and they were on clearance!! Also, I bought pink silverware, napkins and table cloths. I am still undecided about the location, thinking my church but I don't really want to have to pay. A lady I work with makes awesome cupcakes so I am thinking I will use her, but if need be, I will attempt to make my own cupcakes! haha
I am at the start of my 6 days off and I catch a cold...it's not too full blown nasty yet, but it still sucks to be sick when you need to get stuff done around the house!
My brother called me asking about Christmas.........yah.........way too early to be thinking about that. At least give me until AFTER Halloween :)
Happy Friday to all :)

My first blog...
We shall see how this goes. I'm not much of a blogger but I feel like it will be a good release for me. Right now my life is pretty uneventful, I take care of my daughter and I work in the evenings. I so wish that I could just quit my job and take care of her! That would involve my husband making about twice as much as he does now :( BUMMER! I'm still praying that God has it in his plan that I can stay home with her.
Speaking of my daughter, I can't believe that she is 3 months old. I hate how fast time is going, but at the same time I enjoy seeing her progress from being a baby to an older baby haha not quite toddler material yet! I'm pretty sure I will cry when she turns 1 (trying to not get ahead of myself yet) She loves her daddy so much. I get tears in my eyes when she attempts to flirt with him because that is what you call unconditional love!
I absolutely love her and can't picture my life without her! She has taught me unconditional love and I thank her for that (and God)
